Anomali by Design

"It's a simple notion: we work on things we love—with clients we love—because they align to our values and fulfill our passions." Taken from our website, that concept is a core theme we live—and create—by at Anomali by Design. It's why we do what we do.

To that end—as heritage menswear aficionados and hardcore denimheads—collaborating with Dearborn Denim on design and marketing initiatives has been a dream come true for us.

Founded in 2016, Dearborn Denim is a family-owned and operated business whose mission is to provide customers with jeans that exceed expectations. Their classic cuts are meticulously designed, cut, sewn, and finished in their Chicago factory, guaranteeing the highest standards of craftsmanship.

When Dearborn Denim wanted to grow their brand, sales, and outreach and work with a design and marketing agency for the first time in years, Anomali by Design was fortunate to form a partnership to drive that evolution.

Design: First better acclimating ourselves with the brand, understanding their current pain points and desired outcomes, and getting intimately familiar with the denim factory where the magic happens via ethnographic research, we next helped Dearborn Denim by scouting locations for new lifestyle photography in Chicago. Location selection was driven by first defining, and then refining, the brand's visual and written tonality. In parallel, we provided a fresh content strategy (and content) paired with strategic points of value and opportunity toward redesigning core aspects of their Shopify-powered website.

After art directing / shooting both brick-and-mortar and citywide photoshoots at our selected locations, we married new imagery with strategy, UX, usability, visual design, and custom development.

Marketing: As of September '24 we've also begun producing all content, video, social and engagement, email, PR, events, and influencer outreach. More to come!
